Songs and Altars - Afternoon Class - Mar 2026
March 26, 2026
Registration opens: Mar 27, 2026
Workshop Intentions:
- Over the centuries, in various communities across America and around the world, women have inherited different practices for experiencing the transition between ages. During the different times of their bodies’ calendars, women acquire knowledge related to health, creativity, and wisdom, thus strengthening their faculties of perception, intuition, and faith.
The hegemony of both political and religious patriarchy caused women’s ritual practices during these cycles and periods to disappear. The workshop will share practices and work experiences based on the creation of altars and songs. When we sing and when we create an altar, we imagine, invoke, love, pray, give thanks, and above all, open a path to knowledge.
The invitation is to renew our ways of learning, reading, and writing, giving and directing our attention to the course of movements in time and space
